In order to be able to provide you with good service, we process your (personal) data. Sterk takes your privacy very seriously and treats your personal data with the utmost care. This privacy statement explains how we process your data and what we use them for.
This statement relates to the following companies, hereinafter to be referred to as Sterk:
- Sterk Heiwerken B.V., Sterk Metaal B.V. and Sterk Waterwerken B.V., with their registered offices at De Steven 57 in (9206 AX) Drachten, the Netherlands
- Sterk Midden Nederland B.V., with its registered office at Eemweg 106 in (3755 LD) Eemnes, the Netherlands
- Sterk Spezialtiefbau GmbH, with its registered office at Lohmannstraße 62 in (27568) Bremerhaven, Germany
Sterk is responsible for the processing of your personal data as defined in the Personal Data Protection Act of the Netherlands/the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Sterk places a priority on adhering to the requirements of privacy legislation in every case. We treat your data with the utmost care. We will continue to do this during the course of our continual efforts to find the best way to enable you to make use of our services in the fastest, easiest way possible.
Which types of data do we process and what do we use this information for?
We collect (personal) data and information from you which we process for different purposes.

We use your (email) address and/or telephone number:

- We only send you newsletters and other communications with your permission. You can unsubscribe from newsletters at all times. The newsletters always contain a possibility to unsubscribe by clicking a button.
We collect this information based on the permission you have given us to do so.
Sterk only processes your personal data based on your permission
Personal data may only be processed if there is a legal basis for this (statutory basis). The legal basis we apply to the processing of personal data is your unambiguous consent (pursuant to Section 8 (a) of the Personal Data Protection Act [Wbp]/Article 4 (11) of the GDPR). By actively agreeing to the processing of personal data, the general terms and conditions and privacy statement, you are giving Sterk your consent to process your data as described in this privacy statement.
You may naturally always withdraw your consent, and we will delete your personal data from our databases and records. This right (to withdraw consent) relates to future processing activities involving your personal data and not to the personal data we have already processed. We cannot provide our services without processing your personal data.
Do we give your data to third parties?
Sterk does not give your personal data to third parties unless a statutory requirement or court decision demands this, or you have been specifically asked for consent. Sterk only shares information with the various Sterk companies that are affiliated with one another as a result of shared ownership or a common board of directors.
Adequate level of protection
In order to ensure that our services function properly, we provide your data to several parties both within and outside of Europe. Within Europe, these parties include Vimexx for the hosting of our website and Purple Media for the management of our website. These parties ensure an adequate level of protection for the processing of any personal data as defined in the Personal Data Protection Act/the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Outside of Europe, this party is MailChimp. This party complies with the Privacy Shield principles and is affiliated with the Privacy Shield program of the United States Department of Commerce. This means that an adequate level of protection is in place for the processing of any personal data.
Cookies
We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small, simple file that is sent together with the pages of this website and may be stored on your device(s) by your browser. The information stored in cookies may be used during a subsequent visit to make access to the website easier for you, such as loading your personal preferences, for example. If you do not want us to use cookies, you can go to your browser settings and choose the option ‘cookies off’, or ask your browser provider for the right settings.
Google Analytics
A cookie from the American company Google is placed via our website as part of their Analytics service. We use this service to keep track of and receive reports on how visitors use our website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or to the extent third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We do not have any influence over these activities. We have not given Google permission to use the analytics information they have obtained for other Google services. The information that Google gathers is rendered anonymous as much as possible. Your IP address is explicitly not included in the information. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google complies with the Privacy Shield principles and is affiliated with the Privacy Shield program of the United States Department of Commerce. This means that an adequate level of protection is in place for the processing of any personal data.
Do we keep your personal data?
Yes, Sterk keeps your data unless you ask us to delete them. Sterk deletes your data on request or renders them anonymous. Would you like for Sterk to delete your data? If so, please send an email to info@sterk.eu. We will delete your data from our databases and records within 14 days or render these data anonymous.
What are your rights?
Access to your data
As a customer, you are entitled to access to your personal data. This means that you can request information on which personal data are registered for you and for which purposes these personal data are used.
Correction of your data
As a customer, you have the right to have your personal data corrected should it appear that our registration of these data is (no longer) accurate. This also applies in the event data must be supplemented or modified.
Right to erasure (‘Right to be forgotten’)
As a customer, you have the right to have your personal data erased. This means that we will erase your personal data from our systems. Your data may still be rendered anonymous and/or processed as aggregate information in various management reports.
Right to object
As a customer, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Provided your objection is supported by legitimate grounds, we will process your objection and respond as soon as possible yet no later than three weeks after we receive the request.
Right to data portability
As a customer, you have the right to the portability of your personal data. This means that we must be able to make your personal data available in a standard file format so that you can re-use this information.
Security of data
Sterk will take adequate technical and organisational security measures, based on the latest science and technology available at the time, in order to be able to provide sufficient guarantees to monitor and preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data. This also applies to the information to be added, withdrawn and/or which may be derived therefrom. Sterk will protect both input and output from loss, theft or any illegal and/or unauthorised form of processing.
